Kanto Corporation, the world's leading supplier of ultra high-purity process chemicals and engineered chemical systems, announced today the receipt of an award to extend the manufacturing capabilities of a large memory maker in the Pacific Northwest. Based on the prior performance of the Kanto chemical systems designed, built, and installed for this customer several years ago, Kanto has been invited to perform all chemical systems related work for this new project. The project includes constructing new cleanrooms and installing new chemical process stations in an existing building. Instead of building entirely new liquid chemical supply systems, however, Kanto will expand the capabilities of the existing Kanto chemical distribution units located in another facility on-site. The chemical distribution systems installed several years ago on-site were designed by Kanto to supply chemical for up to three "zones" within a single facility. As part of the new project, Kanto will modify a number of these chemical systems by adding an additional "zone" which is dedicated for chemical supply to another building. In order to transport the various chemicals between the two buildings, Kanto's professional engineering team will design and build a weather-protected pipe bridge. Utilizing existing equipment and facilities will significantly reduce the overall cost of ownership to the customer while also supporting an aggressive startup schedule. Kanto will also be responsible for chemical systems instrumentation and controls, SCADA system development and integration, field wiring installation, and electrical control panels for power distribution, signals consolidation and communications between buildings. Kanto will also build three new waste chemical collection and transfer stations for installation in an existing building. These systems will collect the waste chemical locally and pump it back to the existing waste chemical storage tanks located in another building. Kanto also designed, built and installed the original waste collection systems for this facility. Kanto
